We leave Hanoi at 08.00 and head south for the two hour drive along Highway One. We spend one hour visiting the Dinh and Le sanctuaries. These are the two remaining temples of the ancient citadel of Hoa Lu. The first one dedicated to Dinh Tien Hoang (also known as Dinh Bo Linh), an Emperor from the Dinh Dynasty. The second commemorates the rulers of the Le Dynasty, Le Dai Hanh (Also known as Le Hoan) . Dinh Bo Linh successfully conquered Vietnam’s first independent rulers, the Ngo Dynasty. On his death in 980, General Le Hoan wisely married Dinh’s widow and established the Le Dynasty and enlarged the citadel.
We then move on to Tam Coc for a two hours boat trip along the Boi River. This area is rightly often referred to as the Ha Long Bay on land due to the similar topography. We return back to Hanoi at about 6pm.

Hello,
I m contacting you because i m interested in two day trips on the 18th and 19th of may for three persons with personal driver. Our hotel is in the old center of Hanoi.
First day trip to Halong Bay.
Waiting for your suggestions, because there are so many options on internet regarding the cruises and what they include (sea lunch, kayaking, cave visit, village visit etc)
Second trip to Tam Coc.
Actually we would like to avoid the crouds of tourists and local sellers during the boat trip, so i would like to ask you if leaving directly in the morning to Tam Coc (without any stops to Hoa Lu etc) could be the solution to have a calm boat experience at Tam Coc before the tourists and the local sellers arrive. Or is it always like this, no matter the time we will take the boat trip?
In the case is it better worth it to take the boat trip at Trang An instead of Tam Coc?
We would like to visit as well the Mua Cave (450 steps to the top of the mountain with view to Tam Coc) and include a bike ride in the countryside, if possible next to Van Long or Mu Chai areas.
I will be waiting for your answer-suggestions to these two personalized day trips. Please let me know the total price for the three persons and everything your price includes.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Dimitrios KALIAFAS
