Day 1: Hanoi – Ky Son village – Duong Lam Ancient village (L, D)
We meet tour guide and driver at 8AM at the lobby of hotel in Hanoi then travel to the Moon Garden home-stay in Ky Son Village. Welcome drink with local fresh green tea makes us fresh after more than 1 hour driving then we are free to explore the home-stay, local market and kindergarten.
Later we join a local cooking class then enjoy lunch. Relaxation time with traditional herbal hand massage, chatting with local host family about local snacks, cultures and learning about traditional customs…
In the afternoon, we will take bicycle ride to discover the Ky Son, Tam Son, Van Minh, and Cham farming communities, Duong Lam ancient village and visit Mia Pagoda, Mong Phu Communal House… Then bike ride back along the ritual paths of Thang thac village to discover the Ngo Quyen tomb, Phung Hung temple – 2 heroes in one village.
Later afternoon, we return to the Moon Garden for happy hour. While waiting for our steam bath with fragrant herbs (Lemon grass, pomelo leaves, holy basil leaves) to be prepared, we can enjoy our local drink and taste some of the local products such as maize, sweet potato, cassava, peanuts…(depending on season) or some traditional desserts.
Before having dinner, we observe the evening Buddha worship. Evening relax with foot bath in warm water with ginger, salt and mugwort medicinal herbs.
Day 2: Ky Son Village – Hanoi (B)
Early morning waking up to join Yijinjing traditional exercises makes you feel strong all day long. Then we have breakfast before spending your free time to take pictures with Vietnamese traditional clothes, chatting with people, or further discovery of the Ky Son village and the surrounding area.
We leave Ky Son for Hanoi at around 10AM. Tour ends in Hanoi at around 12:00.
Complimentary for all guests: 1 mineral water bottle per person per day in the room, coffee, tea, fruit, traditional caramel, snacks, sweet potatoes (or cassava, corn, peanut… depending on the harvest season), kitchen for personal use, fishing (no charge for the fish), bicycle use.
