The famous temple of Do, located just 25 km northeast of Hanoi, belongs to Dinh Bang village, Tu Son district, Bac Ninh province. It is a sacred place for worshipping the eight emperors of the Ly dynasty the great Viet kingdom dating back nearly a thousand years.

Every year spring season, in March 15th lunar calendar, this year, it will be 3rd May, 2015 on the regular calendar, the descendants of the Ly family and many Vietnamese are delighted to return here to pay tribute and respect to these national heroes of Vietnam. This is also a great chance to mix with current groups of local people to enjoy traditional festival activities such 1: procession from Co Phap pagoda to Temple, 2: local cultural events, 3: wresting, 4: dragon dance, 5; traditional singing of Quan Ho and the Rice Cooking Contest: this is an absolute worthwhile.

Pick up at the hotel at 8 AM, we will drive to Dinh Bang Village in Bac Ninh Province which is around 25 KM away from Hanoi. On arrival, we will have 3 hours (from 9 to 12 o’clock) enjoy the great time watching all festival activities, from the procession to local traditional games.

Leaving the crowd, we will go to a local restaurant for our lunch and afterwards we will spend a couple of hours to visit Ninh Hiep market, this is a very bustling cloth market. Once here we also enjoy a nice stroll along village’s lane to see the structure of Vietnamese village and the daily life of the local people. We return to the hotel around 4 to 5 PM. Tour ends.
