On June 25th, the opening ceremony of the Queen cable car system and the Sun Wheel was held at Bai Chay tourist site, Ha Long city (Quang Ninh) in the high expectation of thousands of tourists .
It is the first cable car system in Halong Bay. Unlike other cable systems, it consists of only 2 cabins with the capacity of 2,000 passengers per hour. The journey will turn through the gateway of Cua Luc Bay, connecting to the coast from Bai Chay Beach to Ba Deo Mountain, opening up an exciting opportunity to admire the stunning scenery of the world heritage site – Ha Long Bay from a high view. Besides, the Sun Wheel is 200 meters in height above sea level with 64 cabins.

The Queen cable car system and the Sun Wheel are recognized as the world’s longest largest cabin cable car system and the world’s highest ferris wheel respectively by Guinness World Records.
If tourists are planing for Hanoi tours, it’s worth going to Quang Ninh (around 149 kilometers away from Hanoi) and experiencing this car cable system.

I totally agree with you there are many interesting and exciting activities in Halong bay and Halong city. Among which the newly established Halong cable car is the new tourist attraction and promising to give the most entertaining experience to visitors. I’ve tried this Halong cable car several times and I love the view from above of the stunning landscape of Halong bay, Halong city and Hon Gai city.
This is a must-do when in Halong.
