Uncle Ho House in Hanoi to be Listed a Special Historical & Cultural Site

Located in the centre of Hanoi capital, House No 48 on Hang Ngang Street is a relic historical place where President Ho Chi Minh wrote the Declaration of Independence that gave birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945. The house has been recognized as the National Special Relic Sites among 14 other sites.

The President Ho Chi Minh stayed and worked here from August 25 to early September 1945 after coming back from Viet Bac. The President wrote down the Declaration of Independence – an important and significant historic document which marked the big shift of Vietnamese history. All his documents and original items he used to live and work have been kept carefully at here. The house owner now is Trinh Van Bo.

The house is opened to public from Monday to Friday to all domestic and international visitors come to visit and research the most important historical documents of the Declaration of Independence and the life of the greatest Vietnamese leader.
